It is again with great love that we would like to share our latest news.
With your generous donations during the month of August
we were able to help 20 elementary school children
and 5 secondary school children acquire their
textbooks and school supplies.
In addition to the textbooks, various school supplies
are also a significant cost for families.
In families where more than one child
goes to school (sometimes 4 or 5)
the increased costs at the beginning of the school year
are a great burden.
Thank you for supporting our families

Catholic Social Days, ‘KATTÁRS’, are held this year on September 16th and 17th,
and you can meet Only One Mission at our tent during these two days.
On Friday at 4 pm the head of our mission
will be talking about our work at Sapientia College,
and then on Saturday at 2:30 pm, on the stage set up in Március 15 Square,
we will be sharing testimonies from our guests, volunteers, colleagues,
about the work we do.
We look forward to meeting you there.
Thank you for keeping in mind that September brings cooler weather,
and the nights and mornings can be quite cold.
We would especially like to thank Granny Ilonka
for the 2-3 washed and ironed shirts
she always brings for our guests and for her smile.
And to Mihály, the father of a large family who arrived last week
with a carload of his adolescent sons’ outgrown clothes.
And to many others who help our guests with their donations.
All at one location...
You must remember the widowed mother of seven
who our mission has been helping over the years.
They have had to move again and again over the years,
never having a permanent place to stay.
We often wrote that the family was in need of every type of support.
Our cry for help lead to the family being ‘adopted’
by a private individual and a community,
who support them on a monthly basis.
Nonetheless their residency remained a problem.
During August the mother received a generous offer
and was able to register the whole family to one address.
It is necessary to have a registered address
to be eligible for social services.
On behalf of the family thank you.
Trade school help
Your donations made it possible for us
to help a hard working young man get a start in life.
We were able to help him purchase the tools he needed
to begin his training and education.
His family was unable to pay for this equipment.
Attila’s education is opening a new horizon for this family.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
